Defendant Robert G. Johnson appeals his conviction of six felony counts of securities fraud in violation of Utah Code Ann. §Â§ 61-1-1(2) and 61-1-21 (1989), six felony counts of sale of unregistered securities in violation of Utah Code Ann. §Â§ 61-1-7 and 61-1-21 (1989), and one felony count of employing an unregistered securities agent in violation of Utah Code Ann. §Â§ 61-1-3(2) and 61-1-21 (1989). He appeals on the basis that he was denied effective assistance of counsel at trial. We reverse and remand.
